Slayer Guitarist Jeff Hanneman Dead at 49
Sad news today from the thrash metal world. Founding member of Slayer Jeff Hanneman died from liver failure that was related to an existing illness (flesh eating disease).
There was a time quite a few years ago that I was really into thrash and Slayer was at the top of my list. Jeff was like all great rhythm guitarists, rock solid and the anchor for the band.
Heaven's thrash band has a great new member, say hi to Dimebag for us. Rest In Peace.
